This is a cheaper option than Allsopp's dedicated servers and the performance is not limited by sharing connections.

The main difference is that as you would be sharing server space with another company, the security on the server itself is rigidly imposed between different web sites.

The outcome of this is that you will have less flexibility in the applications you will be able to run on the server as Allsopp provide specific applications and database software for your use and Allsopp will not install any other requested software until our internal security team advises our web team that the application is deemed safe for use on our shared servers.
